I finally posted my "faux rocks" for sale in my Artfire store! I actually got everything done on my "to do" list today. Feels like a miracle!
I made these fake rocks for "The Treasure of The Secret Stones". They are fun finds on a treasure/scavenger hunt with a secret surprise inside. The hidden treasure inside can vary depending on your needs and creativity. A secret message would be excellent! Here are the basic instructions to make your own. Or if you don't have the time, I can make them for you! They cost $1 a piece. They are inexpensive to make, just time consuming.
Wrap the stone with damp pieces of ripped paper. You can use something lightweight like newspaper for the inner layer. For the outer layer use ripped pieces of brown paper bags dipped in watered-down glue. The glue mixture can be pretty runny. Lay on wax paper to dry. These can take a couple of days to dry completely. So be sure to allow yourself plenty of time in advance.
